How to set up a Windows XP VPN
On this page I will give you step by step instructions on how to set up a Windows XP based VPN.

Click Start

Click control panel

Open network connections

In network tasks click create a new connection


The network connection wizard should start.

click next. 

Click connect to the network at my workplace

click next

Click virtual private network connection

click next

You'll be asked to type a Connection  name this could be an IP or another description that you choose.


You may be prompted for your connection type, most people will select Do not dial the initial connection.

After selecting your connection type click next
 
you will be asked for the VPN host name or IP address (this information can be found on the vpn server or given to you by the administrator)
